Our trained professionals have the unique ability to capture the minds and hearts of people.  With the energy and excitement created by the consultants, program participants are inspired into action.

 

We provide training and consultation to colleges and universities, school districts, corporations, government agencies and non-profits, nationally and internationally.

For more than 25 years, Marvin Worthy has been committed to minimizing the devastation caused by a lack of civility and a sense of belonging.  As the President and CEO of Worthy Consulting & Training, Worthy has assisted colleges and universities like Penn State, University of Notre Dame, Michigan State University, North Carolina A&T, Carnegie Mellon University, North Park University, Chestnut Hill College, and organizations like Dentsply International, Inc., Franklin County Housing Authority, and Glatfelter Insurance Group in building inclusive educational and workplace communities and culturally competent students and staff.  Interacting with thousands of participants per year, Worthy has made it his mission to inspire and motivate his audiences to include not exclude, to accept not reject, and to act not ignore. 

Worthy served as the Associate Dean of Students, Director of the Office of Organizational Development and Multicultural Training, and Director of Multicultural Student affairs at Shippensburg University and Assistant Residence Life Area Coordinator for the University of Delaware.

In recognition of his many contributions to diversity and service to the community, Worthy is the recipient of the Shippensburg University Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. March for Humanity Award and Outstanding Effort Award, the ACT 101 Distinguished Service Award, the University of Delaware Richard A. Wilson Outstanding Service Award, the Pennsylvania Black Conference on Higher Education Appreciation and Outstanding Service Award, and the YMCA Community Development Award.

To compliment his commitment to inclusive excellence and student development, Worthy holds a Master of Science in College Student Personnel, Master of Science in College Counseling, and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education.

As an Education Consultant and Student Development Specialist, Dr. Thomas Worthy provides directions and offers expertise to colleges and universities to advance a comprehensive vision for student learning, development and success.  As a champion for student-centered programming and services, Thomas Worthy assists colleges and universities in creating an undergraduate and graduate student experience that is predicated on critical thinking, learning, leadership, cultural competency, and social justice. In addition, she works closely with college administrators and community organization leaders to provide guidance, insights and recommendations on strategic planning, program reviews, curriculum development, accreditation, evaluation and assessment.

 

Thomas Worthy served as the Assistant Vice President for University Life and Associate Dean of Student Development at the University of San Francisco, Associate Dean of Students at Bucknell University, and the Director of the Black Cultural Center and Assistant Professor at Berea College. 

 

She is the co-creator of the Chambersburg YMCA Achievers college readiness curriculum, member of the Franklin County Head Start Board of Directors and the Chambersburg Area School District Realignment Committee, and Room Parent and volunteer at Shalom Christian Academy.  In recognition of her service to students and the community, she is the recipient of the YMCA Adult Achievers Award, Faculty Appreciation Award, Outstanding Leadership Award from the Office of Multicultural Student Services, and Instructional Leadership Award.

 

Thomas Worthy holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Education and Master of Arts in Sociology from Washington State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Tougaloo College.
